Light To The Nations Church
In March of 2000 we initiated our local church in Brazil with
a cell group of 4 people. Today we have a thriving church with leaders
capable of planting other churches. Pastor Philip worked for many years at
Bethany World Prayer Center as the Chief of Staff and CFO. As such he saw
a
church that was able to break across the racial barriers of
south Louisiana. In Rio the focus of the church has been to break across
the socio-economic barriers so prevalent in Brazil and build a model church able
to reproduce across Brazil.
The
church is very “youthy”, with a tremendous worship focus and powerful youth
ministry. It is a cell based and a very missions minded church giving in excess
of 25% of it’s total annual budget to missions.
Our vision in the church is to be a church which raises leaders that plant
churches. We are active in reaching our city in all areas including mercy. We have strong active cells and
ministries which range from benevolence, feeding the poor, drug addiction
recovery, cooking, English classes for the community, etc.
